Activities
Mission
Our mission for activities are to serve the children in the local area and provide spaces for them to make friends. We also aim to share our Christian faith through people involved in the weekly activities. We hope this will enable children to seek and encounter God.
Games club - on hold while we recruit a new children's worker
Games Club is our weekly club all about playing games. The club is on every Wednesday 4pm to 6pm during term time. It is aimed at school years 3-6. The games played include board games, card games and active group games. We do not play games that include the use of a screen. A standard session includes playing board and card games for the first hour and a half and ends with a wider group game. Furthermore, twice a term we have a nerf war. The club is completely free to attend. Parents are asked not to stay at the club. Finally, the club is a drop off when you can and pick up when you need to. If you can’t get to the club until after 4pm that is fine and if you need to pick up your son before 6pm that is absolutely fine.
Children's Story
"I love coming straight after school on Wednesdays to Boys Club. We play fun games like Othello, Exploding Kittens and Hide and Seek in this huge place where there's loads of other great hiding places. I especially love it that Sam and Peter have a Nerf War at the end of term."

"I think boys club is a great place to socialise and make new friends. Sam is the perfect person to be leader of boys club because not only does he know a lot about board games and is great at explaining games he is a helpful and fun person to be around. I also have a lot of fun playing board games . It is one of the highlights of my week and every day I count up the days until Wednesday so I know how long it is until boys club."

Little Acorns (on Facebook)
Little Acorns is a playgroup for pre-school children on a Friday from 9.45am to 11.15am term time. It is an opportunity for local parents and carers to bring their children to take part in craft activities, free play, story time, snack time, and ends in a group singing session. It is a welcoming place for parents to meet up and along with their children make new friends, and feel part of the church community.

Cost is £1.50 for adult and first child and £1.00 for additional children.
Mum's Story
"I was one of many mums who attended Little Acorns when it started over 10 years ago, and over the years I brought all 3 of my children to this wonderful group. It truly represents what a baby and toddler group should be, from the children playing with the fantastic rang eof toys, participating in the arts/crafts, music and baking to catering for mums and dads by providing tea, biscuits (and socializing!). I watched all my children grow confident around others, learn different things and generally be happy and excited to attend. It was a very sad time when we had to leave for school but it it one of many great memories we all have. Thank You!!"

Dads and Toddlers
We run a session on Saturday mornings twice a term for Dads to bring their toddlers and older siblings along to. It runs 9:30am to 11am. The session includes the same toys as Little Acorns. There is also a snack time at the very end. Finally, throughout the whole session there is usually bacon or sausage butties or fried egg as an alternative option.

"My daughter and I have come to really enjoy the Dads and Toddlers sessions at St Dunstans since the first coming about 18 months ago. My daughter has fun playing with the other kids, while it's nice to chat to other dads over bacon sandwhich. All in all a great way to start the weekend!"
