Sunday Services

9:00am Holy Communion

A traditional Church of England service including well known hymns led by organ and choir.  Some of the liturgy is also sung. The service lasts about an hour.

10:45am Morning Praise

An informal service with contemporary worship songs led by keyboard and guitar. In term time the children and teenagers leave during the service to go to their own groups (see Kid's and Teenager's sections).  There is a dedicated crèche room for parents with under 3's to which the service is relayed. On the first Sunday of the month everyone stays together for Holy Communion and there is no Sunday Club.    After the service a dedicated team are available to talk and pray with anyone who might value it.  The 10:45 service lasts about an hour.

10:00am Joint Celebrations

Tea  CoffeeOn special occasions like Christmas, Easter and Harvest and over the summer holidays the two Sunday services join together for a 10:00am service. These services offer a mix of styles and an opportunity for people from both services to worship together.

Tea and Coffee is served after every service, sometimes accompanied by cake sales.  

Mid Week Services

3:30-4:30pm Kidzone

(Mondays during school terms)

Kidzone is a service for primary school aged children and their parents or carers.  From 3:30pm Children arrive from their different schools, enjoy a drink and biscuit/cake and take part in a craft activity.  At 4pm there is a half hour service of songs, games, Bible stories, prayers and quizzes.

10:00am Holy Communion

(Wednesdays)

The Wednesday Communion service is a short, quiet service that follows a traditional Church of England pattern.  During the service there is an opportunity to reflect on a Bible reading and offer our concerns for our community and the wider world in prayer. Afterwards we sit down for tea/ coffee with each other.

Prayer ministry on Sundays

Sometimes you may come to church on Sunday morning with something particular on your mind which you would like us to help you pray for.  The prayer ministry team are available to pray with you in the chapel on the right-hand side of the church, either during Communion or after the service.

Prayer for the community

In our church services, we pray for the streets, schools and activities in our parish on a daily rota through the month.

Today's prayer is for those who live or work in Shakespeare Rd, Armstrong Rd & First Ave; The Job centre and those out of work; Church finances and stewardship.
